Skylar Press was founded in 2019 by Lu Dianwei and Yang Yanjun, both highly respected figures in China’s publishing industry with over 30 years of experience. They are also the founders and publishers of Arcadia Children’s Books, one of China’s most acclaimed children's publishing brands.

Shortly after its establishment, Skylar Press faced the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic. Despite various constraints during this period, we remained committed to curating thoughtful topics and preparing meaningful content. In 2025, with the publication of the first 20 titles in the My First Nonfiction Library series, we will begin the gradual launch of our new line of publications.

At Skylar Press, our mission is to publish outstanding nonfiction books, graphic novels, and children’s titles on Chinese culture for readers aged 0 to 13. We are committed to supporting the development of a diverse cultural landscape and to creating meaningful books that accompany children through every stage of growing up.
